Dr. Sumit Chawla loves his chosen profession. Each day he gets to make a difference in the lives of his patients by helping them to develop a smile that will not only improve their self-esteem, but enable them to move more comfortably through the world. In addition, Dr. Chawla enjoys the new and emerging technologies and techniques that make orthodontic treatment faster and more effective with less discomfort for the patient.

His father, Dr. Jag Chawla, is also an orthodontist. Dr. Sumit Chawla has followed in his footsteps. Dr. Chawla regularly attends symposiums, lectures, and orthodontic conferences to further his learning, for the benefit of his patients.

Dr. Mark Cabana is an experienced pediatric dentist born in Chicago and raised in Downers Grove. With his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, Dr. Cabana has dedicated over 24 years to providing exceptional dental care for children.

Recognized for his expertise, Dr. Cabana was featured in the 2019 Top Dentist list in Chicago Magazine. Voted by his peers, Dr. Cabana has had the distinction of making the list at USA’s Top Dentists every year since 2018. In 2017, Dr. Cabana was voted Kidlist’s Best Pediatric Dentist in the near western suburbs, highlighting his commitment to excellence in pediatric dental care.

Dr. Cabana believes that pediatric dentistry is the most rewarding profession in the world. Going to the dentist can be a stressful time for a child and their parents, and it is his goal to make that experience stress free and as much fun as possible. Dr. Cabana feels extremely excited and honored to work at Chawla Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry where he hopes to make a positive impact on the lives of his young patients every day.

Dr. Kapil Vij attended Glenbrook South High in Glenview, Illinois. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in 1995. He earned his DDS at the University of Illinois in 1999 and continued his studies to become a specialist in pediatric dentistry in 2001. Dr. Vij’s pursuit of excellence led him to complete a Master’s of Science in Oral Biology in 2004.

Dr. Vij understands the anxiety that children and many times their parents have. He takes the time to explain the child’s needs in a very calm manner.

Dr. Vij is married and has three children.
